Until the pandemic began in 2020, I was an international tennis player. I regularly competed in regional / national tour events and Women’s British Tours as well as ITF junior and Pro- Circuit Events. I was lucky enough to be able to travel across the country and Europe with my career highlights being ranked inside the top 15 in the UK, making the final of Tennis Europe doubles and competing in the Manchester $100,000 ITF pro circuit in 2016/2017.
During the pandemic, tennis courts were shut so I picked up cycling as a way to keep fit. As I started to ride more, I realised how much I loved the freedom and element of personal challenge cycling gave me and decided I wanted to give the competitive side of cycling a go.
The first races I tried were Duathlons; in April 2021 I managed to win my age group and qualify to represent Great Britain at the 2022 Duathlon Age-Group World Championships.
The following month, I was selected to be part of the SKODA DSI Cycling Academy by Dame Sarah Storey and finished my first year of racing competing in all the National Championships.
In 2022, I am racing for Storey Racing and competing in the national road and circuit series, national championships and some select races on the continent.
As I have finished my degree and want to stay as involved in cycling throughout my life as possible, I am looking for opportunities to raise awareness around the issues in women's cycling. For examples of the projects I've been part of, please see my media page or social media links below.
